Building a Safer Web3: SlowMist Brings Web3 Security Awareness to Hong Kong
As a globally recognized blockchain security firm, SlowMist has long been committed to strengthening the industry’s security ecosystem. During the event, Tony drew upon SlowMist’s extensive experience in both on-chain and off-chain security to provide a comprehensive overview of blockchain fundamentals, the opportunities and challenges of Web3, and common scam tactics along with practical prevention tips — empowering the audience with both knowledge and awareness.
Over the 90-minute interactive session, participants gained a clearer understanding of the evolution from Web1 to Web3, grasped the basic mechanisms of blockchain technology, and learned how to better protect their assets in the Web3 world.
Remaining true to its mission of “being a guiding light in the blockchain dark forest,” SlowMist actively participates in public welfare and educational outreach initiatives. Most recently, SlowMist partnered with DeFiHackLabs and Scam Sniffer to launch Unphishable, a Web3 phishing simulation platform. The platform recreates realistic social engineering attacks, fake websites, and malicious smart contracts to help users recognize and defend against phishing attempts in the Web3 ecosystem. It is freely accessible to all users, aiming to reduce phishing-related risks and enhance the accessibility of security education.
